Hematite is a grounding stone used mostly for protection and stability. “hematite” is derived from the Greek word for “blood.” As a result, it has earned the moniker “bloodstone” and has been used to protect against excessive blood flow. Other applications for Hematite exist, but the economic value of iron ore is more than that of Hematite.
